Total Recall VR Works With

Total Recall VR is a professional, fully featured and cost effective audio logging and call recording system. It has interfaces capable of capturing audio from many forms of audio communication including telephone, 2-way radio, broadcast radio, public address, room microphones and much more.

Total Recall VR has 3 different types of recording channels:

  1. Analogue; which can capture audio from different analogue sources and calls on analogue telephone networks.
  2. VoIP; which can capture audio from calls on VoIP telephone networks that use the SIP and H.323 protocols.
  3. ISDN; which can capture audio from calls on ISDN telephone networks which use the Q.931 protocols.

We have confirmation from customers and resellers world-wide that they have successfully deployed a Total recall VR with one of the following telephone, radio and other equipment (intercom, PA, turret …).

(Your) Notes and quotes:

“Handset Taps for Digital Telephone Handsets work – but beware of handsets where the microphone remains ‘live’ when hung up. Acts like an unwanted bug in the room and messes up searches for wanted recordings.”

“Works with any Analogue Telephone system just fine.”

Hosted PBX Providers

Total Recall VR VoIP recording channels work out of the box with the following hosted VoIP PBX providers. All use the SIP protocol.

  • Telstra IP Telephony (TIPT)
  • MyNetPhone
  • ISPhone
  • Engine
  • Vonex
  • Primus Accella
  • Optus IpPhone Premier

Radio Systems

Total Recall VR analogue recording channels work with the following radio communication systems.

  • Jotron 7550 Series
  • Jotron 7000 Series
  • Maycom Walkie Talkie
  • Motorola GM338 Mobile Radio
  • Selex Tetra Radio
  • Motorola MTM800 TETRA Desk Radios (with analogue audio recorder accessory from Motorola)

(Your) Notes and quotes:

“Radio Systems using repeaters: ‘Off Air’ receivers are used, one for each radio channel in use. Auxiliary receiver audio outputs are used as the output is not affected by changes of the radio volume control – prevents VOX trigger levels from changing. Each radio audio output can be adjusted and monitored without affected the recorder levels or VOX trigger.”

“Use Off-Air receivers for Radio Broadcasters as well as internal audio pickups. This recording from the Off-Air receiver proves that the audio broadcast was transmitted”

“Airports (and similar operations) have separate Transmitter and Receiver sites where the audio inputs and outputs are fed to and from a control centre as 0dBm 600Ohm lines. Use a Total Recall VR Radio Mixer at the Control Centre to pick up the Tx and Rx Audio lines to record the relevant radio channel on a single recorder channel.”
